Life doesn’t always go as planned. There are road blocks, detours and obstacles to overcome. I know that, but it doesn’t make it any easier.
This week sucked.
Home ownership for me has been a bumpy road. It seems if there is going to be any kind of problem with my home it happens. In the last year I have had to replace the air conditioner, the water heater and a number of other things throughout the house. When you also consider the surprises that we have had renovating the house, it has been a veritable rollercoaster.
But this week added icing to the cake.
Earlier this week, we discovered that we had a water problem.
A big one.
So big in fact that the windows in our living room were wet.
It hurt my heart.
But we did what we had to do: we called in a firm that specialized in Water Damage Restoration Altadena to help us out. Since I had no idea what to do in this kind of situation and I realized that any mistakes dealing with this problem could cause us some serious health issues, I thought calling in the experts made the most sense.
I’m happy we did.
While the house is currently in pieces while they try to dry things out, I feel better knowing that at some point here everything will be fixed and we can go back to life as usual. Fingers crossed that this will be the only problem we have with our home in 2017.
